    Description

    This knife was completed on 07/14/21 by knifemaker Chen Banks. The Bear Hunter was intended to be a hunting and cooking camp knife. Use as a boning knife and then cut neat slices. Cut down a plant and chop up the greens. Split kindling and shave shave branches. A nice back up to your skinning knife.
    The 5.25” blade is made from a high carbon antique sawmill blade. Poss. L6/8670m steel. 57-Hardness (file 0tested).
    Acid etched patina design on the sides of the blade with a polished spine, tang and edge. Provides protection from rusting and has more character than a standard polished knife. Easily cared for with boiled linseed oil for storage protection. Sample oil provided with purchase.
    The 4.75” handle is made from Asian Padauk. Stunning deep hues of orange and red run through the wood with spec of black in the grain. Treated with several coats of linseed oil, the buffed and treated with beez wax. Can be treated with simple paste wax to maintain.
    A sturdy, hand-stitched genuine black leather sheath is included. Righthand carry.
