Say hello to this amazing 1962 Rambler Classic Deluxe CrossCountry Surf Wagon!!! I have owned this wagon for over 10 yrs and put many enjoyable miles of cruising and car shows. This Surf Wagon stands out and just attracts a crowd of fun conversations and people.
The Surf Wagon under went an extensive modern restomod convertion of the drivetrain through a professional hotrod company in Phoenix, it was done right. She is sporting a 350 crate motor with 20k miles, a turbo 400 transmission and a 8.8 Ford rear end with a 308 gear and a Vintage Air-conditioning/heat under dash unit. The brakes are fresh drum all around. The exhaust is all new with quiet muffler to enjoy a smooth ride and good conversation.
The interior was left all original except the seats were professionally reupholstered to a vintage feel with some vinyl silver metal flake accents, very tasteful. The headliner is original and in good condition as are the door panels.
The exterior is all original including the amazing original patina paint. A fresh paint job would be quick work but the number one compliment is the original story this paint and car tells. The Wagon has always called Arizona home and the solid body and no rusty floorboards will confirm the authenticnese she is no fake. I will also throw in a nice Surfboard for the roof!!!
