This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so seriousbuyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This is a running, driving, and stopping scout that has some good options and features, including
the 304 v-8, new 2 bbl carburetor, and dual glass pack mufflers.. It has a 727 3 speed auto transmission,
Removable top, power steering, Air conditioning, 4 wheel drive with locking hubs, power brakes, 15 inch wagon wheels with new 31 inch tires with less than a mile on them. The truck also has a swing away tire carrier with an additional 5 gallon gas can attached to it. The gas tank, sender, fuel pump, some fuel lines, and accelerator cable are also new .
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl , front buckets, and rear bench, new door seals recently installed. Steering column has a new lock cylinder/key and turn signal switch. The original AM radio is still in the uncut dash, No speakers are present to test it. Truck has a new windshield, a new windshield seal, and wiper blades just installed, wipers work and so does the horn.
The brake system has been pretty well replaced, new master and slave cylinders, new brake booster, new soft lines, and all new drums and shoes, plus some hardware when needed'.
The body is in above average condition in my opinion, original body panels, no rot or major damage found, a few dings/imperfections here and there, but not all banged up. Certainly sitting since the late 1980's helped save it!
Floors have a couple small metal patches welded in, and protected with bed liner.
The engine has good power, and sounds great, starts right up, not too loud, new valve cover gaskets, head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, water pump, plug wires, distributor, coil, and some hoses were just installed .
It was last registered about 33years ago! and has not been driven much/far/fast since. Odometer is showing something like 26k miles. I believe it is quite possible to be original miles, seeing as how long it was parked, but I have no paperwork to confirm.
This truck is almost 50 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, (plus, e-brake is in-op, a/c looks complete, but Freon has leaked out and I never looked into getting it going again. Fan belt sometimes squeaks. It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Toyota, but gets plenty of attention and would make a great off road toy!
You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal!
If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it!
Therefore the 0 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable.
