    Vehicle Details
This is a 1979 International Scout II Traveler. It is a project vehicle, and has not been started in about 3 years. It is sold AS IS, with no warranty. It currently does not run and will need to be trailered by the buyer. The engine is a 345 V8, with manual transmission. 4WD condition was demonstrated to engage when I bought it in 2016, was not used afterward. Would make a good candidate for a rock crawler with some mechanical and body work. I just have no time to work on this vehicle, and would like to make back some of the money I spent buying it as well as the additional parts. I have posted everything that I know about the condition of this vehicle.
Picture of odometer included. Mileage was assumed to have rolled over due to the age of vehicle.
I have the title. It has been on a non op in CA since I bought it in 2016.
The vehicle is located in Inyokern CA.

    Exterior
This was explained to be a project vehicle when I bought it. I did not have the time to do many repairs after I bought it. It is still a project vehicle, and ran when it was parked. It has not been started in about 3 or so years. I only drove it 3 times, and only short distances. It did not run well enough at that time to drive it regularly. It currently does not run. Will need to be trailered by buyer. Will need to be winched or pushed onto trailer. We used a UHaul auto transport to haul it. The body/tub is very rusty. If you can weld, and have time, you might be able to save the tub. It may be more cost effective to just replace the body/tub though with the cost of the replacement panels. The rear wheel wells are rusted out. The driver side rear wheel well shows evidence of bondo. The driver side outer rocker is rusted out and someone at some point had put foam and bondo in it also. The A pillar body mounts and inner rocker panels are also rusted out. There is a hole in the floor above the driver side body mount under the carpet. I have 2 outer rocker panels, 1 inner panel, and 2 aftermarket body mounts included with the vehicle. The front passenger fender is badly dented, as the passenger rear. The passenger door gets stuck due to this damage. Door locks don’t work. Back hatch was missing a lock rod, and the button for the hatch. I acquired the missing latch rod and button after I purchased it, but have not had the time to install them. Interior is there, but will need to be redone. Seat belts are stiff, and rear seat is folded down. The bolts that hold the transmission cover we’re missing when it was purchased.
    Interior
Interior is fairly intact. Seats will neat seat covers or redone. The driver side vent window frame is cracked (see photo). Windshield has a chip and crack (see photos). The boxes in the photos are the parts shown below. Rear view mirror also has a crack. Spot light is not hooked up, unknown condition.
    Engine
The engine idled rough when I bought it. It was thought that there was a bad head gasket, but this was not found to be the case. The thermoquad carburetor has vacuum leaks and a broken choke. The choke diaphragm is broken, so the choke does not appear to work, (shown broken above). The engine smoked when I bought it, which was believed to be the engine baking off degreaser and caked on grease. Was not investigated further at the time. The exhaust heat riser valve, water pump, turn signal cam were replaced prior to it sitting. The catalytic converter was replaced with a 50 state compliant Magnaflow with E.O. Number to pass CA smog. Vehicle was not sniffed prior to sitting due to lack of time for repairs. Brakes were not yet done but pads and shoes were purchased and will be included. A new parking brake cable is inclued. Frame did not appear to have any severe rust at the time I purchased it. OTHER ISSUES: Good is currently unbolted, but bolts are in the hood hinges to reattach. Should be strapped down for transport. Tires were old when it was bought. Passenger front tire goes flat but will be aired up for transport. Spare in back of truck. All tires should be replaced. All belts are dry and need to be replaced. Rear hatch struts blown, replacements included. Wiper blades are bad, conversion kit included to convert to moder blades. Washer fluid reservoir bottle was replaced by a previous owner with some random bottle, I do NOT have a replacement. Unsure of the washer pump condition. Smog pump was whining last time it was started and will likely need to be replaced. The A/C is not hooked up. The condenser is in the back of the truck, and the previous owner cut the copper lines to the condenser (cut line shown). The accelerator arm was found to be broken and crudely repaired prior to my purchase. I bought a new one, it is included but needs to be installed. 4WD was demonstrated to engage when purchased in 2016, but not used after. Condition is currently not known. Steering box bolts were loose when purchased. Bolt holes showed wear that it had been an issue for a while. Common issue for older scouts apparently. Reinforcement plate included; INCLUDED REPAIR PARTS IN PHOTOS : Aftermarket super scout grill (plastic); Replacement front passenger fender. Will still need a lower patch, has bondo from a snorkel hole I assume; Brake pads and shoes; Parking brake cable; Accelerator arm, and throttle cable; Wiper arm conversion kit; Complete engine gasket kit ( was purchased when the head gasket was assumed blown); Rear door latch rod, and rear door button; New rear hatch struts; Aftermarket A Pillar body blunts; 2 outer rocker panels, 1 inner rocker panel (only ordered one then found the passenger side to be bad also, never ordered another); Body bushings and bolt kit; Weld on plate to reinforce frame where the steering gear box bolts to frame. Gear box was loose when I bought the vehicle. Vehicle wandered left to right. Tightened both bolts, fixed issue, but frame showed bolts had slightly damaged the holes. Plate simply reinforces the 2 holes.
