Description

Early Marklin 1-gauge handpainted 4-wheel tin lumber or open-goods car with seat, high end walls, and tin wheels. Only 2 of the 6 stakes are there, both of which have chains. Has all 4 original bumpers and journal covers. Couplers appear to be original and complete. A bit over 7 inches long and about 4 and 1/2 inches high to the tops of the end walls. Looks to be missing a sign or light that would fit on the small post just to the right-hand side of the seat. No figure included.
There's scattered light to moderate crazing to areas of the green paint on the end walls, frame and stakes, along with paint wear to those areas as shown by the photos. Some wear and flaking to the blue paint on the deck as shown by the photos. Paint appears all original to me. Dirty and would benefit from a cleaning. Call it VG or a bit better as is.
In an effort to be fair to all bidders, I do not end auction-style listings early including based on Buy it Now offers or requests from buyers. So please do not ask me to do so. Thanks for your cooperation in this regard.

Shipping
: I will ship to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. But the cost of shipping to those locations will be more than the quoted shipping price and bidders who live there should contact me prior to the end of the auction for a shipping quote. I will always combine shipping if you purchase multiple lots.
Please note that due to COVID my stated handling time for shipping is 5 days after receiving cleared payment from the buyer. However, I try to ship within 3 days of receiving cleared payment and do so most of the time. If for some reason you cannot wait 5 days before your item is shipped, please do not bid on my items.
Returns
: I will gladly refund your money if I make a mistake in describing something. But please make sure you really want the item before you bid. I do not give returns if a buyer simply changes his or her mind, deciding after the fact that they don't want an item.
