Description
The antique Japanese Hibachi, or “fire bowl” was designed to hold a heat source, such as coal embers, for warmth and for cooking. From and estate, this early 20th
century glazed Imari porcelain ceramic hibachi is decorated with intricate patterns, floral, and mountain scenes. Colors are cobalt blue and white with red accents. There is a maker mark/stamp on the side (see photo). It is rare to find one like this in such nice vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Measures 12.5” tall and 17.5” diameter. It is, of course, quite heavy. This item is available by local pick up only. I will arrange with a buyer in a secure public location to inspect the Hibachi. Upon payment via eBay, buyer must then sign a document stating they have inspected the Hibachi and are satisfied with their purchase. This is a wonderful piece, and would be a great addition to any collection. Please review photos carefully and message with any additional questions you might have. Be sure and check our store for other vintage and Asian décor items. Follow us, and check back often. Thank you for looking!
