This listing is for an exquisite rare covered dog box with a slightly domed lid. The inside of the dog was to hold candy. If you have a dog collector and looking for something really unusual for them this item could be it. A Crystal covered dog is pictured on page 28 of our book called “Glass Animals and Figurines” by Debbie and Randy Coe. Please see our other eBay store listings for more wonderful pieces of glass.
The dog and lid are in good used condition with
no
major damage or cracks. Like most old glass you will find numerous straw marks and wavy lines. All of this is typical of the glass making production. When you consider that the dog is around 100 years old, it is amazing to still be here to be enjoyed. We are a nonsmoking home/shop and there are no odors on this piece.
eBay now has started to collect sales tax from some states. We have nothing to do with it. Buyers are responsible for checking eBay policy on sales tax. eBay will be adding more states to the collection list in the future. Any questions on sales tax would be to eBay and not us.
